What can I expect?
The retreat weekend is designed to be flexible – opt in and out of the sessions to suit your needs. If you'd prefer to work by yourself over the three days with help on hand as needed, that's absolutely fine. Otherwise, the Research Accelerator community sessions are a great way to stay accountable – and they're a lot of fun! You can also spend the three days watching the videos in the course library – it's entirely up to you.
You'll receive your retreat workbook the week before the retreat starts. Non-members will receive access to the full course library on the Monday prior (members already have access). If you have any questions about how the retreat will run, don't hesitate to ask us!
Your Lead Facilitator – Dr Lyn Lavery
Lyn has taught research methods and data analysis in New Zealand universities for almost 25 years. She is an NVivo Platinum Certified Trainer and has previously trained for SPSS NZ, so is confident working across quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods projects. Lyn's PhD from the University of Auckland is in educational psychology, specifically self-regulated learning. Her love of teaching and education, alongside her flexible teaching style and engaging sense of humour, contribute to her outstanding reputation as a training facilitator.
