Got a question?
As a Research Accelerator member there are plenty of ways you can ask!
We appreciate that everyone gets stuck from time to time with their research. There are plenty of ways you can get your questions answered – choose the option that best suits your learning style from the list below.
These are held once a month – view the live sessions calendar or Lyn's Monday email for details of the next session. These are group sessions which are recorded. If you can't make the session live, submit your question in advance (via email), and you can catch up with the recording on-demand.
It's helpful if you email your questions to Lyn beforehand, as that gives her a chance to prepare the answer. You're welcome to just turn up on the day though!
Drop-in clinics are informal sessions, held once a month in the RA GoBrunch space:
Note that unlike our more formal Live Q&A, these sessions won't be recorded.
If you're planning to attend, please arrive promptly in GoBrunch at the start of the clinic, and put some thought ahead of time into the question that you'd like to ask. Keep in mind this is a group discussion, not a 1:1 session. Questions should be something that can be covered in around 10–15 minutes.
Full details for the above sessions can be viewed in the live sessions calendar.
Questions/issues that require a more in-depth conversation aren't covered as part of your membership fee — but you're welcome to book a 1:1 consultation with Lyn. There is a discounted rate for Research Accelerator members (NZ$209 per hour, reduced from $249).

If you need a more immediate answer to your question, hit play on the video below to learn about our new 'VideoAsk' service. You can submit your question by either video or audio and Lyn will respond with a private video message.
Wouldn't it be simpler to just send Lyn an email? Yes, sometimes it would — but if your question involves software or complex research methods, you'll often find yourself typing three paragraphs and still not quite capturing the issue. With VideoAsk, you can explain in your own words. You can even record your screen if it's a technical gremlin you're wrestling with.
